Causeway park is located on the coast of langerini Bay, several kilometers northeast of Copenhagen, also known as the coastal park. Changdi park is the most famous park in Copenhagen. It not only has elegant environment, beautiful scenery and beautiful flowers, but also has many exquisite sculptures. The most famous ones are the bronze statue of Little Mermaid and gefion fountain.
We first came to the end of Changdi park to see the gefion fountain. Gefeiang fountain, also known as Shennong fountain, is a group of copper sculptures composed of gefeiang goddess, four oxen and plough. The bronze sculpture was made by Danish sculptor auras Pongo according to the legend of the origin of Silan Island, which took 10 years to cast. It was completed and unveiled in 1908. The whole group of bronze sculptures is a masterpiece of Danish traditional culture with vivid modeling, magnificent scenery and magnificent momentum.
After getting off the bus, I saw a stepped pool with stones of different sizes at the bottom and around. There are several rows of sprinkler heads in the bottom pool, but none of them are turned on. Two small streams of water were spouted from the two beast shaped stones on both sides of the second floor pool. On the stone pillars on both sides of the third floor pool are two copper python. On the pebble platform in the middle of the pool stood the resolute and courageous goddess gifion with flying braids. She wielded the whip with her right hand and helped the plow with her left hand. She was driving four sacred cows to work hard. The four bulls bow to the horns and pull the plow hard. They are of different shapes and boast of being alive. Before the copper ox, the water splashes and condenses into a mist. After the copper plow, the fountain surges, causing flying rain. The whole fountain is full of vitality and vitality, full of breathtaking beauty of power.
Shennong fountain next to a Gothic style, light gray color of simple and elegant chapel, called St. Alban church. This is a privately donated church. It was built in 1887 to commemorate the first British believer who died more than 300 years ago. St. Alban church was used by the British Army during World War II, also known as the British Army church. It is also the only English Church in Denmark.
After leaving Shennong fountain, I got on the bus. It took only two minutes to get to the other end of Changdi park. First of all, I saw a row of green tree walls. In front of the tree wall was a bronze statue in the uniform of a Danish Navy General and holding a cornice hat. This is Frederick IX, the former king of Denmark, and the father of the current Queen Margaret II. Frederick IX once studied in Copenhagen University and Danish Naval Academy. He joined the Danish Navy in 1917, was promoted to lieutenant commander in 1935, and became a major general in 1946. Frederick IX was known as the "king of sailors" for his love of travel and navigation. As a young man, he traveled around the world and visited Shanghai and Nanjing in 1930. Frederick IX also loved music. He was an excellent conductor and once conducted the Copenhagen Symphony Orchestra. Frederick IX was also an enlightened king. With the support of the queen, he changed the image of the Danish royal family. The royal family changed from the highest level of society to a family symbolizing the country. Frederick IX was a great king.
Not far from the bronze statue of Frederick IX, there is a monument to the queen, which was built by the Danes for their respected Queen Margaret I. On the marble pedestal is a bronze bust of Princess Margaret, and on the pedestal is a statue of Princess Margaret in a long skirt holding a boy. Princess temperament noble, dignified and beautiful, kind, worthy of a king. In the green trees and flowers beside the Queen's monument stands a high marble pillar inlaid with bronze. On the bronze ball at the top of the pillar stands a double winged goddess of victory. The goddess holds an olive branch in her right hand and holds it high in her left hand, symbolizing peace and victory. This is the Queen's pillar. The upper base of the stone column is surrounded by royal family emblem and human relief, and the lower base is surrounded by cannons and shells. Unfortunately, because the distance is too far and there are trees to cover it, it's hard to see clearly.
Finally came to the Bay, far ahead to see a large group of people, it must be where the little mermaid bronze statue, we speed up the pace to walk past. Sure enough, in the water near the shore, there is a huge and round reef held by several other big rocks, and the world-famous Little Mermaid bronze statue sits quietly on this reef. The 175 kg, 1.5-meter-high bronze statue was funded by Karl Jacobson, the son of the founder of Carlsberg beer company, and created by Danish sculptor Edward Erickson based on Andersen's fairy tale the daughter of the sea. It has a history of 100 years since the completion of the bronze statue on August 23, 1913, which has attracted countless visitors from all over the world. The little mermaid bronze statue has become the symbol of Copenhagen and Denmark. In April 2010, in order to promote the cultural exchange between Denmark and China, "Little Mermaid" came to China from afar, entered the Danish exhibition area of Shanghai World Expo, and became Denmark's image ambassador, opening the prelude of cultural exchange activities for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Denmark.
Before walking to the bronze statue, you can watch it carefully, but you can see the bronze Little Mermaid sitting peacefully, beautiful face, long hair braids, delicate body, quiet and elegant; The eyes are shy and affectionate, slightly melancholy; A fish's tail was exposed close to the reef. This is the gentle and kind little mermaid princess in Andersen's works. This is the daughter of the sea. Only the sea can breed such a great woman, who can give up everything for the sake of the people he loves. Her soul was finally purified, and she became the daughter of the sky and the angel of spreading love in the world.
During the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, in order to get a glimpse of the bronze statue of the little mermaid, I stayed in the front row of the Danish pavilion for two hours under the high temperature of more than 30 degrees, and finally entered the pavilion to enjoy the bronze statue of the little mermaid in the pool from a distance. I'm very happy to be close to this famous bronze statue. I followed the tourists from all over the world, stepping on the rocks in the sea in turn, came to the little mermaid's side, left my own figure, and also brought back the figure of the bronze statue of the little mermaid forever.
Reluctant to say goodbye to the "Little Mermaid", toward the exit. After walking through a harbor full of yachts and sailboats, I came to an open space. There is a sculpture commemorating the Second World War in the open space. The high white boat shaped base is carved with relief. The relief describes a broken ship. The crew of the ship fell into the sea one after another. There is a long hair sea Demon Under the ship. On the boat shaped base stands a bronze statue of the goddess of victory, with wings on her back and a laurel crown in her hand. She looks very holy and beautiful in the blue sky. A man in a bath towel is carved on a nearby stone column. This is another work of Eriksson, which is called "after bath".
