It's only 15 minutes by ferry from helsingh in Denmark to Helsingborg in Sweden. The distance between Helsingborg and Gothenburg is about 300 km, 3-4 hours by car. At about 7 p.m., we arrived in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The kingdom of Sweden is located in the southeast of Scandinavia, bordering the Baltic Sea in the East and the North Sea in the southwest. It covers an area of about 450000 square kilometers and has a coastline of 7624 kilometers. It has a large forest and many lakes and islands. It is the largest country in northern Europe. The word Sweden comes from the Swedish meaning of "Kingdom of peace". It is also called forest kingdom, Lake Kingdom, European sawmill, Nordic snow Kingdom and prohibition kingdom. Sweden is a famous neutral country in the world. It was declared neutral in both world wars. Sweden is also a developed industrial country, with a large number of multinational companies, and has its own aviation industry, nuclear industry, automobile manufacturing industry, advanced military industry and the world's leading telecommunications industry and pharmaceutical research capabilities. In the field of software development, microelectronics, remote communication and photonics, it also occupies a leading position in the world. Sweden implements a "mixed economy" which combines highly developed private industry and commerce with relatively perfect state-owned public service sector. It is famous for its high wages, high taxes and high welfare. It is a modern welfare society. It is usually at the top of the human development index of the United Nations development program and one of the top ten happiest countries in the world selected by the United Nations.

Gothenburg is located in the catgart Strait on the west coast of Sweden, the estuary of the Yota River, and across the sea from the northern end of Denmark. It covers an area of 722 square kilometers and has a population of 480000. Including the surrounding cities, Gothenburg has 850000 people, which is the second largest city in Sweden. Gothenburg is the most important port city in Scandinavia and the commercial and Trade Center in Europe. The free port was set up in 1922. It is the transportation and shipping hub in northern Europe. There are more than 450 routes to all parts of the world, with more than 30000 ships entering and leaving the port every year. Gothenburg has the famous Chalmers University of technology, Gothenburg University and many research institutes engaged in basic research and Application Research of science and technology and future new technology. Gothenburg is also one of the tourist attractions in Sweden, attracting hundreds of thousands of domestic and foreign tourists every year.

Because northern Europe is in high latitude, summer days are very long, so although it is already 19 o'clock, the sun is still not setting. As it was still early, the guide took us to visit the opera wharf. Built in 1994, Gothenburg opera house is located in the dock area, mainly performing opera and ballet. The theater has three floors of stands, more than 1300 seats, equipped with modern equipment such as lifting stage, and good internal acoustic effect. It is one of the most advanced opera houses in the world.

When I came to the opera square, I saw a modern building in the shape of a boat. This is the Gothenburg opera house. The broad and unconstrained shape, the high bow like roof, from a distance, looks like a pirate ship moored in the water. The square is under construction, surrounded by iron fences everywhere, so that people can not walk at will. In front of the opera house is xiaobomen wharf, which is the entrance of the Gothenburg canal. Xiaobomen wharf is the location of the old wharf in Gothenburg, and now it has become a sightseeing passenger terminal and yacht terminal. Standing by the canal and looking around, you can see a red and white high-rise building on the opposite bank. This is utkeken skyscraper, the tallest building in Gothenburg. Because the shape and color of the building are similar to the lipstick used in make-up, it is also called lipstick building. On the top floor of the 86th floor of the building is a coffee shop, from which you can see the beautiful scenery of Gothenburg. Beside the yacht wharf in front of lipstick building, there is a beautiful white four mast sailing boat. It was built in 1906 as the "Viking". It was originally a training ship for sailors, but now it has been changed into a hotel and restaurant. Behind lipstick building, there is a magnificent bridge, which is the Yota River Bridge, a suspension bridge at the entrance of Yota river. The total length of the river is 92 km. It originates from Lake venaan and flows into the kategat Strait and the North Sea through Gothenburg. Yota River Bridge was built in 1966, with a total length of 933 meters, a main bridge length of 417 meters, a tower height of 107 meters, six lanes on the deck, bicycles and pedestrian paths. The bridge connects the north and south of Gothenburg and is a landmark of Gothenburg. You can see the Yota River Bridge from any height of Gothenburg.

Beside the canal is also known as the world's largest shipping Museum. The water part of the museum displays 19 ships since 1875, including submarines, destroyers, mine laying boats, beacon ships, fire boats, tugboats, cargo ships, oil tankers, etc. some of them have been transformed into hotels, restaurants and cafes. The onshore exhibition hall displays many parts of the ship as well as valuable historical materials and photos. We didn't go to visit the Museum of shipping. For one thing, we didn't list this scenic spot on the itinerary. For another thing, time is really tight. Next, we have to visit Gustav Adolf square.

Gustav Adolf square, also known as king's Square, is the central square of Gothenburg. In the middle of the square stands the statue of the founder of Gothenburg, King Gustav II Adolf of Sweden. Some important activities of Gothenburg citizens are also held here.

Walking into the square, the first thing you see is a high marble pedestal on which stands a bronze statue of King Gustav II Adolf. The king's left hand supported him, and his right hand pointed to the earth under his feet, as if to say, "I will build a city of Gothenburg here." Gustav Adolf is the sixth generation king of the vasa Dynasty in Sweden. He is an outstanding military commander and reformer. In his life, he has been in the front line for many times, seriously injured and even captured. In 1632, Adolf, who was only 38 years old, died in the battle of Lucen in Sweden. Gustav II Adolf is a British king of Sweden, known as "father of modern military" and "lion of the north". There are three connected buildings in the north of the square. The white building in the East is the place for the municipal government to hold municipal meetings and reception activities. In the middle is the new city hall. In the west is the municipal government office building. To the west of the square are two buildings, the old town hall and the Supreme Court. To the east of the square is the Boulevard, and to the south is the canal. From a distance, there is a small square on the other side of the river. On both sides of the steps leading to the canal, there are two lions guarding. This is the famous lion steps.

After leaving the town hall square, I went to a Japanese restaurant and had a Chinese group meal. Stay at the elite Boulevard Hotel in Gothenburg in the evening. The Boulevard where the hotel is located is the most famous street in Gothenburg. It was built between 1860 and 1879. It is 1000 meters long and 50 meters wide, connecting Gotha square and Gustav Adolf square. After packing in the guest room, it was nearly 9 p.m., but it was still as bright as day outside, so we decided to go out for a walk. Strolling aimlessly along the Boulevard, I saw many citizens and tourists sitting in the rows of open-air bars and restaurants along the road. Every few minutes a tram will come along the street, and many people will get on and off. Although the trees on both sides are not very high, they are neatly cut. We wanted to find a bigger supermarket, but we couldn't find it for a long time, so we had to go back. On the way to the hotel, I saw a familiar sculpture on the corner. It was a pistol with a knot. It was a gift "peace" from Luxembourg to the United Nations. Although it was an imitation, it was very similar to the real one. I couldn't help thinking back to the meaningful pistol with a knot "peace without violence" that I saw in front of the United Nations headquarters in New York.

On June 19, after breakfast, we left for Oslo. When we passed Gotha square, the art center of Gothenburg, we found that it was not far from the elite Boulevard Hotel in Gothenburg. Last night, we went in the opposite direction, so we didn't see it. In the car, Fei Hong only had time to glance at the Gothenburg Art Museum and the high steps of the museum. In addition, he saw the fountain in front of the museum and a huge statue in the pool. Only later did he know that it was a statue of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. On the way, I also photographed a stadium like building. When I came back, I found out that it was the Ulivi stadium in Gothenburg. It was built for the world cup in 1958 and has 43000 seats. It is the largest stadium in Scandinavia and the home of Gothenburg football club, one of the most popular clubs in Sweden. Gothenburg football team has won 17 domestic league titles, four national cups and two UEFA cups.
