[Nana's product] a pilgrimage to Angkor Dynasty and a grand festival

order

The trip to Cambodia in 2010 is Nana's trip to open her self-help tour. Since that trip, it has been out of control. In the past four years, it has always insisted on self-help, living and walking. Let me look back on my unforgettable trip to Cambodia four years ago.

Cambodia is located in the south of Indochina Peninsula. It borders Vietnam in the East and Southeast, Laos in the north, Thailand in the West and northwest, and Siam Bay in the southwest. The coastline is about 460 kilometers long. It has a tropical monsoon climate with an average annual temperature of 24 ℃. The main ethnic group is Khmer, and Khmer is the local language.

In the history of Cambodia, the most famous is Angkor Dynasty. In that period, the national strength was strong and the culture was developed, which made the world-famous Angkor civilization. Angkor Wat, as the most famous architectural complex of that era, has attracted much attention for many years and attracted tourists from all over the world.

Angkor historic site was built in 802 A.D. it took more than 400 years to complete. There are more than 600 buildings of various sizes, distributed in about 45 square kilometers of jungle. Angkor Dynasty flourished in the 11th century. It was a great empire dominating the Indochina Peninsula at that time, and also a peak in the history of Cambodian cultural development. After the decline of Angkor Dynasty in the 15th century, the historical sites were also submerged in the vast jungle. It was not until 1860, 400 years later, that French naturalists discovered them and publicized them to Europe and the world, that they regained their glory.

As for Angkor Wat, I always think it is mysterious and fantastic. An article about Angkor in high school English textbook makes me yearn for Angkor and imagine that one day I can be in it. In November 2010, it all came true!

The trailer first!

Preparation

One day in May 2010, I saw a post about Cambodia on the Internet. I was deeply shocked by those pictures, which also aroused my yearning for years of silence. So, the preparation started from then on

1、 Determine travel mode

Because some of my friends are tour guides, I chose travel agencies for the first two years. Although it was not so enjoyable, it was really easy. So, this time also naturally thought of the travel agency. However, as the lessons become more and more complete, we gradually find that the itinerary of travel agencies is too simple to achieve the effect of in-depth travel; At the same time, there is no price advantage. As a result, I gradually tend to self-help travel.

However, because I have no experience of self-help travel abroad, I am somewhat worried about self-help travel. However, I think, as long as you do your homework well in advance, it will be a perfect trip.

Finally, the self-help tour is decided.

2、 Determine travel time

Cambodia is located in the low latitude region. It is summer from May to October. Due to the influence of the southwest monsoon, the temperature is around 33 ℃ and the rainfall is abundant. The relative humidity is as high as 90%. November to April is Cambodia's winter, blowing cooler northeast monsoon, the average temperature is 25 ℃ - 32 ℃. It is said that from February every year, the daytime temperature in Cambodia is as high as 35 degrees.

In view of the climate characteristics of Cambodia, finally, my travel time is in mid November.

3、 Schedule

With the deepening of my lessons, I know more and more about Cambodia, and I feel more and more about the planning of my trip. After research, I found that besides Angkor, the most famous places in Cambodia are Phnom Penh and Sihanouk. As the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh is sure to go around; Sihanouk is a port city. It is said that there are white beaches, but the public security situation is also the worst. For security reasons, we finally abandoned Sihanouk.

At first, I designed a 9-day itinerary, but considering that the round-trip flight would be delayed by 2 days, and the round-trip flight from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap would be delayed by 2 days, the actual travel time was only 5 whole days. For those of us who are planning a deep tour, time is obviously a bit tight. In the end, everyone decided to adjust the itinerary to 10 days. In this way, we can stay in Siem Reap for five whole days, even in a daze.

4、 The specific itinerary is as follows:

November 12th

Gather at 11:30 T2, arrive at Phnom Penh at 20:20 and check in at 21:00

November 13th

Take Meikuai in the morning, arrive at Siem Reap at about 14 o'clock, check in, and start to watch the sunset at 15 o'clock

November 14th

Little Angkor sunrise + Tongwang City + small circle + Bakun mountain sunset

November 15th

Sunrise of Royal Bath + big circle + sunset of Bili Temple

November 16th

Hot air balloon sunrise + gobsbeim + bengmilie + Queen's Palace

November 17th

Rolos group + large circle and small circle

November 18th

Angkor last day, return to some favorite places

November 19th

Siem Reap central market, back to Phnom Penh

November 20th

Palace, National Museum, market

November 21st

Return to Beijing early in the morning, go back to each home, find each mother

5、 Air tickets

Since June, I began to pay attention to air tickets, referred to many strategies, and finally chose China Southern Airlines. It seems that China Southern Airlines did not fly directly to Siem Reap, at least not from Beijing, so I chose Phnom Penh. At the same time, we also plan to go to Phnom Penh for a walk in our itinerary, which is not in the way. It's a bit hard to take a bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap for more than six hours. Later found that the scenery along the way from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap is very beautiful, green everywhere, beautiful!

After paying attention to the price trend of air tickets for a period of time, I found that it is more cost-effective to buy 2-3 months in advance. One weekend in the middle of August, I placed an order on the website of China Southern Airlines. Who knows, the purchase of air tickets is still quite difficult, mainly in the payment and the information of the passengers. The detailed process will not be described any more. I will share with you the problems that need attention

Registration information must be accurately filled, especially the ID number, and the international flight number should be filled with passport number instead of ID card number. This time I filled in the wrong ID number, causing a lot of trouble. Frequent changes in ticket prices, when ordering must be fast. However, if the price really goes up a lot, don't buy it for the time being, because it will come down after a while. Nange's ticket was almost expensive. The international route of China Southern Airlines can only place an order on the Internet. Be sure to fill in the accurate email address, and the subsequent confirmation email will be sent to your email.

Cambodia visa is relatively easy, rarely refused. According to the plan, Nanko and I went to the Cambodian Embassy at 9 dongzhimenwai Street on October 12 to submit the visa information. Fill out a form, post a 2-inch photo, pay 190 yuan, and take it three days later. On October 15, I got the visa successfully. The Cambodian people are so friendly that they can stay for three months until January 15, 2011.

President Jiang's e-visa, online submission of electronic forms, the cost is $25. But the whole process didn't go as well as we did.

7、 Hotel Reservation

Cambodia is a place with relatively developed tourism industry, and there are many guest houses. The environment is good and the price is not expensive. Since October, Cambodia has entered the peak season of tourism, so I decided to book the accommodation in advance. After spending several months in poor travel and backpacking stations, and reading LP repeatedly, Siem Reap and Phnom Penh chose seven or eight guest houses respectively. September 18, start booking.

The booking process is not very smooth, until 2 days before leaving, all the accommodation is reserved, there is no danger!

Angkor is a large area of scenic spots, the distance between the temples is far, so you need to rent a car. Tutuk is a popular means of transportation in Cambodia. It's similar to the tripper in our country, but it's much bigger and safer than tripper. Tutuk can generally seat four people. It's just right for three of us to rent a car. Rich seats can hold backpacks.

According to the itinerary, we plan to rent tutuk for 3.5 days, mainly to visit Angkor big circle, small circle and rolos group; Rent a car for one day and Visit Queen's palace, gobsbeim and bengbilie.

After contacting with several drivers, sophal, who looks honest and has a good reputation, was selected. Another reason to choose him is that he has both a tutuk and a car, which just meets the requirements of our car rental; At the same time, his offer is relatively cheap.

9、 Equipment

Because it was a self-help tour, I decided to go backpacking, so I woke up bigpack, who had been sleeping for many years. In addition, according to the characteristics of the local weather, I bought quick drying pants, outdoor shoes, T-shirts and other equipment. The actual equipment carried is as follows:

Money: almost no chance to swipe the card, spending dollars all the time. I changed 600 dollars, which actually cost more than 400.

Travel

According to our experience, we must ensure sleep, raise our spirits and build up our physical strength one week before departure. Facts have proved that the intensity of Cambodia has greatly exceeded our expectations. Almost every day, it is rampant. Every temple in Angkor Wat needs to climb up and down. It's very tired! And to see the sunrise, we usually get up at 5 o'clock, drink some beer in the evening and have a chat. It's 12 o'clock in the blink of an eye. During that period, my average sleep time was no more than six hours.

One week before departure, I reconfirmed the order with GH, confirmed the bus ticket for No. 13 by Capitol, and confirmed the pick-up place and time with sophal.

Three days before departure, I started packing up.

Two days before departure, I finished printing all kinds of materials.

The day before departure, I went to the hairdresser's for a haircut and nursing. While talking on the phone with my friends and cleaning up, I repeatedly confirmed that all kinds of items were ready. When I go to bed, it's almost 3 o'clock. With expectation and smile, I go to sleep.

On November 12, I woke up early with the excitement before I left to reconfirm that all kinds of things had been packed. At 9:45, with expectation and hope, I set out! On this day, the fog that shrouded Beijing for many days still did not disperse. Some cold weather made me hope to get to Cambodia as soon as possible and feel the warm climate there.

At 11:20, I arrived at Terminal T3 of capital airport. After confirming the boarding location, wait patiently for the arrival of the two partners. Due to the temporary situation, we have assembled at 12:30. Filling in the customs declaration, changing the boarding pass and checking the luggage, everything went smoothly. It was nearly 13 o'clock, and we went to KFC to fill our stomach. Then we went through the customs clearance, everything is OK, waiting for boarding.

Waiting for me to start

I don't know why the plane didn't take off on time. It was nearly an hour late. During the boring waiting, we took some pictures. It was nearly 15:30 when the plane finally took off. The plane of China Southern Airlines does not fly directly to Phnom Penh, but stops in Guangzhou. The real sense of customs clearance is actually completed in Guangzhou. Due to the opening ceremony of the Asian Games on the same day, Guangzhou has been banned from flying since 19:45. Because of the delay, the time left for us to transfer in Guangzhou became very tight. We were the people who got on the plane. At 21:30 local time in Cambodia, we arrived at Phnom Penh airport smoothly. With the help of a Chinese, we filled in the entry form, ignoring the behavior of the police asking for tips, and entered the customs smoothly. I called for a taxi. It's seven dollars.

November 13th

1、 Key points of itinerary

Afternoon: my home driver will pick up and check in at 15:00. At 15:20, we set out to watch the sunset in Bakun mountain.

1. Barken mountain

Bakun mountain is a small hill in Angkor's main heritage group, about 67 meters high, located 1.5 kilometers northwest of Angkor. To the west of the mountain is the open West baray, and to the southeast in the jungle is Angkor. From the top of barken hill, you can overlook Angkor. Because of its good viewing location, most tourists come here to watch the sunset and recall the lost civilization.

Our route: it's about 4:00 p.m. when we get to Bakun mountain. It takes 20 minutes to walk on the dirt road to get to the place where we can watch the sunset. Along the way, we saw some Angkor relics, which made us a little excited after a hard day. A lot of people came to Bakun mountain to watch the sunset. They didn't take photos seriously because they thought they would have a chance to come later. Who knows, this is the only time we have a sunset on Bakun mountain.

Khmer kitchen is very famous and has a good reputation on the Internet, so we went there with admiration. We ordered the famous amork, curry beef, and strange salad. They were delicious! Mango shake and Angkor beer are also great! What's more surprising is that the rice here is free.

Breakfast 5 USD, dinner 18 USD, bus 13.5 USD, tutuk 5 USD, ticket 180 USD, accommodation 35 USD.

When I got off the bus, because there were too many things, I left the tripod on the bus in a hurry. By the time we remembered, tutuk had already left for about five minutes and was in a hurry to return. We are so lucky! Less than 100 meters back, the bus came face to face, and the tripod lay quietly on the luggage rack. Oh Yeah!

November 14 Angkor the next day

1、 Itinerary of the day

Morning: start at 5:15, sunrise in Angkor. Have breakfast in the scenic area at 7:30.

At 8:00 a.m., start to visit Tongwang City, bayong temple - Bafang Temple (maintenance, only take photos outside) - Imperial Palace (maintenance) - Air Palace - douxiangtai - laowangtai - trial tower - 12 Zodiac Tower - Shengli gate. At noon: my home lunch, charge the camera

Afternoon: return to Angkor at 16 o'clock, Angkor in the afternoon in the sunshine, especially beautiful! Because of the rain, the Bakun mountain sunset was cancelled. Tutuk broke down in the middle of the road and took a tutuk from an interesting Italian couple.

Evening: dinner at socheata Restaurant

住:My Home

Angkor Wat, also known as Angkor temple, is located in the northwest of Cambodia. The original name was vrah vishnulok, meaning "the temple of Vishnu.". Chinese ancient books are called "sangxiang Buddha house". It is the best preserved temple in Angkor. It is famous for its magnificent architecture and detailed relief. It is also the largest temple in the world.

Bayong temple is located in the center of Angkor Tongwang city. Its corridor is 160 meters long from east to west and 140 meters long from north to south. Bayong temple is divided into three layers, and the lower two layers are square. From the appearance, the Bayon temple is a pyramid shaped building with 54 Gothic pagodas. On all sides of each pagoda are carved statues of Buddha with different expressions and smiling faces, which is the famous Khmer smile.

Bayong Temple faces east, most people choose to visit in the morning. The sun is shining over every Buddha statue, which is very warm. In addition to the Khmer smile, the murals of the Bayon temple are also very famous. Looking at the murals in the first corridor and feeling the history of Angkor civilization, beauty!

Our route: the bayong temple is the first stop we visit today, and it is also a temple we are looking forward to. Because there is a Khmer smile here, there are beautiful murals here. It was less than 8 o'clock when we arrived. There were not many people. However, due to the lack of a guide, turn a bit confused.

The main gate of bayong temple, familiar with it?

Angkor heritage group, there are various window frames, so, harvest a lot of such photos

Wandering in the bayong Temple

The most famous Buddha statue has been surrounded. After many comparisons, it is indeed the most beautiful one.

There are many murals in bayong temple, which tell ancient stories. We take books, compare the relief, understand its history.

The majestic Buddha statues can only be understood if they are among them.

Unconsciously, I have been wandering for more than an hour, and I am reluctant to leave bayong temple.

Did you see me in the crowd?

3. Bafang Temple (tour time 0.25 hours)

Baphun temple is a national temple dedicated to Shiva built in 1060 by udayadityavarman II (1050-1066) in the middle of the 11th century. It is located in the center of the capital at that time. It is now 200 meters northwest of Bayan temple, close to the south wall of the royal palace. Bafang temple is known as the largest and most complex three-dimensional building in the world.

Phimeanakas, formerly known as the Golden Horn mountain, is one of the historic sites of Angkor in Cambodia, located in the northeast of Bafang temple. Although the palace in the sky is called a palace, it is not a royal palace. The palace is about 200 meters northeast of the palace in the sky, but it has been completely destroyed because it is a wooden building. The air palace is an important milestone in the history of Khmer architecture. It is the predecessor of Angkor temple. It contains several elements of Angkor architecture, including Xumishan, central pagoda, gallery, temple gate and pavilion.

There are many windows in the palace in the sky. According to the book, the biggest difference between the windows here and other places is that they are both inside and outside.

Our route: as the Bafang temple is under repair, the air palace is the second stop today. Its steps are very steep. It needs hands and feet in many places. It has steps on all sides to reach the highest level, and the kind-hearted staff tell us which side is easy to climb. Even so, it's hard to climb up.

A group of photos standing at a height and arranged downward

Double window

Climb up, very high, very steep steps

5. War station (tour time 0.25 hours)

Built at the end of the 12th century, the battle elephant platform is located in the north of bayong temple. The platform is over 300 meters long and has three platforms. The steps in the south are made of three headed elephants with lotus flowers on their trunks. The walls of the platform are carved with lions and birds. In ancient times, Angkor king stood on the battle platform for inspection and held various public ceremonies.

Our route: passing by the imperial palace ruins, there is an unknown ruins, almost 11 o'clock, we came to the war elephant platform. By the time we got here, we were quite tired, but we were still keen to find the location of the pictures in the book. So, I and elephant nose have the following photo.

6. Laowangtai (tour time 0.25 hours)

It is a 7-meter-high platform close to the battle elephant platform. Below the platform is a central square. At the top of the platform, there is a "leper king" without gender. As for the name of "leper king", there are different opinions. Some people say that it is found to be covered with moss, while others say that the statue is a leper king. The original statue has been sent to the National Museum of Phnom Penh for collection. Now it is a replica.

Our route: the mangwang stage is next to the battle elephant stage. We took some pictures. I like my group photo with Garuda.

7. Zodiac Tower (tour time 0.25 hours)

The Zodiac Tower is at the front of the road leading to the victory gate of Angkor Tongwang City, about 1200 meters (3937 feet) in front of the ancient palace of Angkor. It's accessible from the East. The tower was built at the end of the 12th century on the order of ayabama VII. It belongs to Baiyun architectural style.

The reason why the Zodiac Tower is called the Zodiac Tower is that there are different animals carved on each tower, which is similar to the Zodiac Tower in China. Along the central square, in front of two groups of buildings called kleang, there are 12 red earth pagodas - ten in a row, and the other two pagodas form a right angle with the straight line, facing Shengli Avenue, also known as the 12 pagoda temple.

The Zodiac Tower is used to imprison prisoners and make them repent. No wonder the tower is abstract and has no shape. It can't see which one is a dragon and which one is a snake. If you look at the pagodas, they are facing the ruins of the Supreme Court, towering. You can imagine that Khmer had the dignity of the rule of law in those days.

Our route: when we got here, it was the hottest time of the day. Maybe it's because of fatigue, maybe it's because of some aesthetic fatigue. We don't seem to have any interest in this relic group. We can't wait to leave after a cursory turn.

Next to the Zodiac Tower are many shops and restaurants where you can have lunch.

Shengli gate is the Northeast gate of Angkor city. It is the gate for soldiers to win and go back. It is equivalent to Desheng Gate in Beijing and Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

Our route: leaving victory gate, we left Tongwang city. At this time, it was 12 o'clock, and we finished the big Angkor transfer in four hours. As the camera was running out of power, we decided to go back to my home.

9. Myhome lunch

When it's hottest, go back to myhome and enjoy authentic local dishes. My favorite is still amork sauce, which is a little like curry, but more delicious than curry. Mango shake is also an indispensable drink. A cup of chilled fresh juice in hot summer is so cool!

My home yard kitten, a poor look.

Dining area, very tropical~

10. Angkor (2.5 hours tour)

Little Angkor is the best preserved temple in Angkor ruins, because it has never been abandoned for hundreds of years, and people come to worship and visit it constantly. Of all Angkor temples, Angkor Junior is different in that he faces the West. The west is a symbol of death, so many experts believe that little Angkor originally existed as a tomb.

Our route: lunch and rest at my home at noon, and we return to little Angkor at 3pm. Angkor is really beautiful in the afternoon. The sun is warm and soft on the stone pillars, stone walls and stone steps. So I made a beautiful group of photos. In fact, the sunset in Angkor is also very beautiful. I think, in this place with a story, even sitting quietly, there will be a different taste.

A beautiful picture of Angkor in the afternoon.

Invincible light and shadow effect, beautiful!

The sky is blue!

The light near 5 o'clock is warm and beautiful!

Sunset, also very beautiful!

In the evening, when Angkor was leaving, it suddenly began to rain, and the frustrated tutuk suddenly broke down. There's something wrong with the engine. It doesn't start. Sophal has been started countless times, but it doesn't work. Just as we were desperate, a tutuk stopped. The driver and sophal talked in Khmer, which we didn't understand. Looking at their gestures and expressions, they probably wanted us to take a ride back. The passengers on the bus are two foreigners - German handsome men and Italian beautiful women. They are very friendly. We talked a lot of interesting topics in English, I suddenly found that my English level is also very good! We taught them the gesture of numbers 1-10, and they recommended a delicious restaurant to us; We also talked about temples in Angkor, GH in Siem Reap, Cambodian food and a lot of interesting things. I find it really interesting to get along with foreigners. Their way of thinking is always unexpected.

Tips:

(1) A lot of people went to Angkor to see the sunrise. At the beginning, we took photos on the stone steps where we entered. Later it was found that the pool was the best location. In fact, if it's not for taking photos, just watching the sunrise, that kind of feeling is really good!

(2) Tour groups usually arrive at the scenic spot at 8 or 9 o'clock, and after 9 o'clock, the bayong temple is obviously crowded. It is suggested that after watching the sunrise in Angkor, they immediately switch to the bayong temple, so that they can stagger the peaks. However, if you want to rub group on another.

(3) Be sure to bring "Cambodia and Angkor temple", where the introduction of each temple is very detailed. It's interesting to find relief according to the pictures in the book!

(4) It's really sunny at noon. If you're not in a hurry, you can go back to the hotel to have a rest, or go to temples with big trees, such as tabrang and Shengjian temple.

(5) Angkor faces west. The sunshine is the best after 4pm. It's very suitable for taking photos. However, taking photos is also about fate. I just missed the sunny afternoon. I'm sorry!

(6) The third cloister of little Angkor is the best place for high view, but for safety reasons, it can accommodate up to 100 people at the same time, so it often takes a long time. At the same time, according to the regulations, the queue is usually stopped after 4:30, so when visiting Angkor, it's better to visit the third corridor first, and then go back to the first corridor to take photos.

November 15 Angkor day 3

On the third day in Angkor, I went to the Royal baths, bantikade, bijue, tasun, Shengjian temple, zhousa, tabrang temple, which is commonly known as Daquan. On this day, due to the thick clouds, there is no chance of sunrise. In the afternoon, there was a heavy rain in tapulung temple. Fortunately, Angkor ruins are very easy to find shelter from the rain. Enjoying tapulung in the rain also has a unique taste. As usual, first introduce the itinerary of the day.

1、 Itinerary of the day

Morning: 5:15, sunrise at the Royal Bath.

Morning: bantikede temple - Doukou Temple — Breakfast - Bili temple - dongmeiben - tasun - Longpan pool - Shengjian Temple

Afternoon: Shengjian temple - zhousa temple - tomanon temple - Chajiao temple - tabrang temple

Evening: Dragon dinner

2、 Scenic spots

1. Royal Bath (1.5 hours)

Royal Bath is a place for bathing ceremony. Like other large pools, there was a temple in the center, but now there is only stone foundation. Angkor is one of the best places to watch the sunrise. There are not many people watching the sunrise here, and the water surface that can be used as a foil for the future is much larger than that of Angkor. Of course, without a good shot, it's hard to take the whole picture.

Our route: it's very cold in Siem Reap in the early morning. Fortunately, today is by car. When we arrived at the Royal Bath, it was just 5:40. Obviously, fewer people came here to watch the sunrise than Angkor. Unfortunately, the clouds are too thick today, there is no sunrise, only a few rays. Does my back look a little depressed?

Tip: the place to see the sunrise in the Royal Bath is not big. If you want to occupy the position closest to the lake, you must come early. In addition, Angkor is still very cold in the morning. You must bring a coat.

There is a sunrise in the wood, so we have to take a picture of it~

Waiting for the sunrise~

Although there was a sunrise, I was still in a good mood~

2. Bantikade (tour time 0.5 hours)

Founded at the end of the 12th century, bantikade is a grand Buddhist temple surrounded by four concentric walls. The outer wall is 700 meters long and 500 meters wide. There are bodhisattvas' heads at the four entrances. The construction of the inner part of the central tower has not yet been completed. Due to the rush of construction, many places around are almost ruins.

Our route: the first stop after sunrise, bantikade is located opposite the Royal Bath, just across the road. The deserted stones are covered with moss, fresh green. After leaving here, we went to a small restaurant for breakfast, and Xiaoyu also came suddenly.

Good photos are not always harvested in famous places. Here, we have harvested a group of very good photos. Maybe it's not famous, or maybe it's too early. We haven't met any other tourists here.

Front door~

Two lovely children didn't ask us for candy.

Seeing this stone platform, I wanted to sit up and take a picture. As a result, because of fear, my slow progress was photographed

I like my photos very much as I walk slowly on the stone platform

Sometimes, it's very helpful to shoot some small scenes

When we came out, sophal had been waiting for us outside the door. The loose soil, we could see clearly the track of the tire.

Coming out of bantikade, it was time for breakfast. Sophal took us to a small restaurant for dinner.

3. Bili Temple (1 hour tour)

Located about 1.5km to the south of dongmeiben temple, bilei temple is also a pyramid building. It was built at the same time as dongmeiben temple, but its scale is larger than it.

It is said that the Bi Li temple was cremated by the ancient royal family and transformed into the temple of God, also known as the transformation tower. Now we can still see the charred traces. When a ceremony was held here a thousand years ago, there must have been a gathering of dignitaries. It is a typical Tashan building with a brick tower on the base, and its structure is very similar to tasun Temple (tasom). Bi Li temple is a red brick structure, with warm red under the setting sun; In addition, the wide view here attracts some tourists to watch the sunset here.

Our route: the top of Bili temple, the view is really good, except for the East, the other three sides are jungle. Lush green, beautiful! Angkor can be seen in the west, but it takes a lot of effort to find it. Here, I caught some good films.

You can see my figure~

The steps are very steep. It's also a hand and foot place

Nana's companion, guide Jiangshan, ha

The lion with chest and buttocks, ha ha ha

Bili temple is basically surrounded by jungle, which has the feeling of tropical rain forest

4. Dongmeiben (tour time 0.5 hours)

Dongmeiben is located on a small island in the middle of the East artificial lake, but because the reservoir has dried up, the site of the temple has become a dry land. This temple is like a small version of the Bieri temple. There are five pagodas arranged in the shape of plum blossoms in dongmeiben. On the four corners of the first and second steps, there are elephant sculptures of the same size as the real image.

Our route: today's temple people are very few, my little friend and I took a group of very wordy photos here, and we were surrounded during the filming!

I love the feeling of ruins

I jump into the camera, ha

5. Tasson (tour time 0.5 hours)

A very small Buddhist temple, surrounded by fig trees, west gate has a huge tree wrapped around the entire porch.

Our route: I remember that tarson commemorated a general, and the temple was not big. Here, we caught up with the first group of tourists.

Tasson's main entrance

Buddha statue, good looking

There are mossy stones again. I like this tone

6. Longpan pool (tour time 0.5 hours)

Longpan temple was built on the central island of beichi, which is now dry. The Longpan pool in the center of the temple is composed of four small square pools surrounded by a large square pool. There is a round island in the center of the big pool. Around the island are two seven headed snakes. Their tails are intertwined with each other. There were four statues in the central pool, and only the East Pegasus has survived.

When the lake is full every October, the whole temple is like floating on a lotus seat just above the water. Water flows into the central pool like four small pools, forming fountains on the stone carved elephant heads, horse heads, lion heads and human heads.

Our route: there is a long avenue from the gate to Longpan pool. It's very comfortable to walk on this road near noon. Because only the statue of Pegasus remains, so looking for Pegasus has become our greatest pleasure. The dilapidated Pegasus is a bit disappointing. I try to imagine what it looked like.

7. Shengjian Temple (1 hour tour)

Shengjian temple, located in the north-east of Tongwang City, is said to be built in memory of his father by jayabama VII. It is said that the great Angkor city was under construction at that time, which became the temporary residence of the king, that is, the place where he held worship and studied.

Shengjian temple has a large scale. Its rectangular wall is 800 meters long and 700 meters wide. There are four roads leading to the temple. At the entrance of the temple, there are several shuras and Asuras stirring the milk sea with long snakes. On both sides, there are a long row of sand stone lotus walls. There used to be Buddha statues on the lotus, but they were destroyed when they were presided over by the Shiva sect. There is a two-story building at the east entrance of Shengjian temple. It is said that this house is used to store Shengjian, and its circular pillars are very similar to the Mediterranean architectural style. From the central tower, four narrow corridors extend in all directions with vaults. On the West and the back of the temple are shrines dedicated to Vishnu and Shiva respectively.

Our route: there are many trees in Shengjian temple, which is very suitable for visiting at noon. When we got here, it happened to be noon, and the time was in place. There is a huge Garuda sculpture at the gate of Shengjian temple. It's very handsome! Not far from the east gate, we saw a beautiful house, the one in the picture on the right below.

8. Zhousa (tour time 1.5 hours)

Zhousa is located to the east of the east gate of Tongwang city. It was built in the middle of the 12th century. It is a place dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu. Zhou SA is responsible for maintenance in China. Although the workmanship is much worse than other maintenance teams, we still took more photos.

Our route: as China is responsible for maintenance, we are full of yearning for zhousa. However, after seeing the original, I was disappointed. The marks of maintenance are too obvious. The colors of the stones are very different from the original ones. Here, we catch the second rain today. The temple after the rain, completely different feeling, I also harvest a lot of good photos!

Chinese government funded maintenance

Lovely children

After the rain, I walked carefully on the stone platform

9. Cha Jiao Temple (tour time 0.75 hours)

Chajiao temple is a pagoda temple with King Kong throne in Angkor, Cambodia. It is located in the east of Angkor city and the northwest of tapulong temple. Jayavarman V was built in 1000, but it was abandoned halfway. In the remains of Chajiao temple, we can see five square pagodas with dense eaves on the altar. It is the first all sand rock building in Khmer. The hard long blue stones are neatly stacked on the three-layer platform. It is a fan mountain pyramid structure. The bottom platform of the five lotus pagodas is 120 meters long and 100 meters wide, and the central tower is 50 meters high. The stone steps leading to the temple are very steep. It takes hands and feet.

Our route: it was already 2:30 p.m. when we arrived at Chajiao temple. We were a little tired without lunch. On the second platform, we took a group of portraits with fixed focus.

10. Tabulung Temple (2 hours tour)

The world-famous tabulung temple is closely related to Tomb Raider. As the most artistic relic of Angkor, the attraction of tabrang Temple lies in that it is almost engulfed by the jungle. Huge trees rise from the buildings, shocking! While most of Angkor's temples have been gradually restored, the temple retains the status of European explorers when they first entered. At the same time, tabrang temple is one of the largest buildings in Angkor Wat complex. Including 260 statues, 39 minarets and 566 palaces.

Tabulung: the entanglement between the temple and the trees makes people feel the power of the awe inspiring jungle and the tenacious vitality of the trees!

Our route: due to the continuous rain, tapulung is the last stop today. In this place where trees and temples are entangled, I deeply feel the power of nature. In this rather mysterious temple, we caught the biggest rain of the day. Hide in the stone temple, quietly feel the nature, feel the artistic characteristics of tabu cage.

Look at this group of photos, the perfect combination of nature and humanity!

11. Our dinner dragon soap

Recommended by LP, Southeast Asia hotpot. In the corner of the bar street, there is a two-story building with hot pot on the second floor. You can enjoy the street view while eating. The hot pot here is quite different from that in China. It's a bit like the casserole in China. There are seven or eight kinds of seasonings, which need to be prepared by ourselves. There are several kinds of flavors that are not bad!

Breakfast 9 USD, dinner 29.1 USD, car 25 USD, accommodation 35 USD, others 0.3 USD.

4、 Strategy of the day

1. Compared with Angkor, fewer people go to the Royal Bath to watch the sunrise. It is said that this place was invented by Chinese people. No wonder there are almost all Chinese people around me. There are only two best places to take pictures in the Royal Bath. The early bird will have food. We didn't go early enough. The tripod was useless. The stone steps were too uneven.

2. Angkor's rain is coming. Today we have caught up with two rains. Fortunately, the temples here are full of shelter from the rain. It's nice to read while shelter from the rain! At the same time, the temple after the rain is a completely different feeling. I took some pictures with great feeling. I like it!

3. There are many trees and humid air in Shengjian temple and tabulung temple, which are suitable for visiting at noon.

4. Most temples in Angkor are maintained by various countries, among which Chou SA is in charge of maintenance in China. But this craft is really not flattering. We felt "disgraced" when we visited it!

5. Today's temples are not particularly impressive. There are too many scenic spots, so it's hard to avoid taking a chance to see the flowers. The most anticipated tapulung also came back in frustration due to the heavy rain.

November 16th

On the fourth day in Angkor, I planned to go to the Queen's palace, gaobusbin and bengbilei. These places are 30 kilometers away from Siem Reap. Obviously, it's not realistic to take tutuk. Generally, I go by chartered bus. Sophal has a tutuk, a car, a used Toyota. He takes special care of his car. When he is free, he always likes to clean it. The car is always spotless. Every time we get on the bus, we habitually knock off the mud and gravel on our shoes.

1、 Itinerary of the day

Morning: get up at 8:00 and have my home breakfast at 8:30.

Morning: bantissam Monastery - Queen's Palace

Afternoon: gobsbeim Bieri Temple

住:My Home

2、 Scenic spots

1. Bantissam Monastery (also known as bantisema, tour time 2 hours)

Bantissam temple was built in the same period as Angkor. Due to its partial location, there are few visitors. There is a central temple and four side halls, and the southern part of the two Sutra houses is well preserved. Its color is also close to brick red, the color I like, suitable for taking photos.

About bantisema temple, there is a legend of "king of sweet cucumber"“ "Bantisema" means "the castle of the SEMA people". In a sense, it is the tattoo mark of the SEMA people. There is a famous legend about the SEMA people. One day, a girl of the SEMA nationality, named Lian, was working in the field when a hermit came out of the forest and passed by the farm where Lian worked. She was attracted by the beauty of Lian. The hermit married lotus. Later, Lian gave birth to a boy named Bawu. And the hermit went back to the forest. Bawu grew up without knowing who his father was. After asking his mother about his father, Bawu went into the forest to look for his father. In the big forest, Bawu met a hermit who was meditating, but he didn't know that he was his father. When the hermit recognized that Bawu was his son, he gave him the cucumber seed. After returning home, Bawu immediately planted cucumber seeds, and immediately produced sweet cucumber (this kind of cucumber exists in reality, called Cucumis melo). This kind of melon was highly appraised and presented to the king. The king was very fond of him. He ordered that no takeout should be allowed, but only for his own use. He also gave Bawu a spear to guard against thieves who "patronized" at night. After the rainy season, the yield of cucumbers decreased, and the cucumbers that Bawu paid tribute to the king also decreased. The king had a bad appetite, so he sneaked into the melon field. But Bawu thought it was a thief, so he threw his spear and killed the king. As no one succeeded to the throne, the high officials of the palace released a white elephant called the god elephant, believing that the man who could ride on the white elephant was the king. Ignoring the high officials and dignitaries in front of him, the white elephant ran directly to Bawu and knelt down to let him ride. It is said that in this way, Bawu became the new king, and then bantisema temple was built. However, the senior officials were not convinced of Bawu, but did not respect him. Bawu sentenced them one by one, and the palace was in chaos. Knowing this, the hermit cast a spell to make Angkor no longer the capital of the country. After that, Angkor city gradually declined and the capital moved to other places.

It's in the picture~

I broke into the camera, huh

The day's weather is very good, the sun through the stone window, sprinkled on the ground, like this feeling.

I'm hiding in the doorframe, huh

There are very few people here. After playing for nearly 2 hours, we met 10 people. Without the crowding of bayong temple and Angkor, the feeling here is very good.

No one, no one.

The sky is very blue. Of course, I have to endure the sun exposure at the same time.

Look, helicopter!

The local children I met by chance like this picture very much.

2. Queen's Palace (1.5 hours)

About 25 kilometers away from the famous Angkor, the Queen's palace is one of the three sacred temples in Cambodia, known as "the Pearl of Angkor historic sites". It is dedicated to Shiva, one of the three Brahmanic gods. The rajendravarman Dynasty was founded in 967 and completed in 1002 by Jayavarman v.

The Queen's palace is famous for its gorgeous colors and exquisite reliefs. It is one of the most unique and exquisite architectural complexes in Angkor. Banteay srei, meaning "the castle of women", is supposed to have been built and carved by women; Because the carvings here are too exquisite to be made by men. At the same time, there are some doubts about its construction age. Some scholars think that such superb technology is far beyond the level of other 10th century buildings, and more like the works of the 13th-14th century.

Our route: when we arrived at the Queen's palace, it was almost noon, and the light was not suitable for taking photos. So, in this most beautiful palace, we didn't get many good photos. The Queen's palace is really small, but it has the most beautiful carvings. We finally found the relief in the book, one by one in front of us!

From the parking lot to the Queen's palace, you need to walk for a long time. The kaiaixiao paper you meet on the way.

It's close to the Queen's palace. The sun is shining.

The Queen's palace is still full of tourists.

In a hurry, I am no different from other tourists.

Exquisite carving, praise

This is the most common picture in all kinds of books.

The exquisite carving is absolutely the best in Angkor relics.

In view of its extremely bright colors, the best shooting time for Queen's palace is from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. But the best time in the morning is always full of tour groups. It is suggested to arrive an hour earlier. Sunny noon should avoid here, we feel the sun here, and almost no shelter.

3. Gobsbeim (2 hours tour)

Deep in the jungle to the east of Angkor, gobsbeim's riverbed is carved as a spectacle. There are 1000 carvings at the source of the river, implying the meaning of "enlightening" the river. It takes about an hour to get to the carvings from the foot of the mountain through the primeval forest. If you continue, you can see the sculptures on the river, including the images of Rama, Lakshmi and hanouman. There is also a small waterfall under the sculpture. The rainy season from July to December is the best time to go.

Our route: it was already 2 p.m. when we got to gobsbeim. Sophal told us that there was no time to go to bengbili today, which all of a sudden disrupted my previous plan, and I was very depressed. So, in gobsbeim, I was a little absent-minded. Gobsbeim looks more like a park, without many relics. The mountain road in the jungle is not easy to walk, but the air is good! There is a small natural waterfall at the end of the road. Some sculptures seem to tell people its story.

A large jungle, not exposed to the sun, very comfortable.

Small scenery, very beautiful.

All kinds of winding vines show the beauty of nature.

The deepest small waterfall. My friends took photos around the waterfall for a long time.

4. Sunset at BI Li Temple (1 hour tour)

Breakfast free, dinner 24.5 USD, car 45 USD, fruit 1 USD, accommodation 35 USD.

4、 Strategy

1. We mistook the bantissam temple for the Queen's palace. We searched for the relief in it for more than an hour. All of a sudden a long delay, the itinerary had to be temporarily adjusted. However, the bantissam temple is still beautiful, and there are not many people, so it is very suitable
